Laboratory of high-temperature processes

Laboratory of high-temperature processes is a structural scientific and technological subdivision of ADVANCED RESEARCH & TECHNOLOGIES Pte which was established in 2011. The laboratory incorporates highly qualified scientists and process engineers with great experience in conducting physical and chemical research and technological processes development in various fields of engineering. The laboratory activity basis is to carry out fundamental and application research; to design laboratory facilities; to develop advanced process procedures; to develop control methods of process media and materials; to scale laboratory equipment and technologies up to an experimental-industrial (pilot) level; to directly participate in initial data development while designing innovative manufacturing methods in the directions stated below:

The main research directions

  • materials synthesis and modification, including nanostructured ones, under conditions of high temperatures, catalysts, various static and dynamic pressures, laminar and turbulent process medium flows;
  • purposeful control of chemical hetero-phase processes of oxidation/combustion, hydrogen reduction, pyrolysis, disproportionation, reforming using modified oxidizers, catalysts, porous filtration media, precision metering devices, unique reactors designs to improve the desired product quality and yield;
  • improvement of basic chemical processes effectiveness using methods of energy stimulation, heat recovery, by-products recycling, processing and utilization of ecologically-dangerous production waste.

In progress

In accordance with the plans of R & D Enterprise, the laboratory performs application research and development on the following topics:

  • methods development of testing on oxygen content in surface functional groups of carbon nanomaterials for various electronic application;
  • project conceptual stage development of a facility to obtain synthesis gas (H2 + CO) from diesel fuel for usage in a fuel cells of mobile on-board systems;
  • theoretical and experimental research on a possibility of carbon nanostructured materials synthesis in the filtration process of productivity up to 100 kg/h.
