Carbon fibers laboratory

We engineer carbon fibers with enhanced mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties through nanoscale surface modification and composite integration. Our solutions bridge laboratory innovation and industrial-scale application.

The main research directions

  • laboratory studies to improve carbon fiber mechanical properties;
  • laboratory studies to produce a porous carbon fiber for use in supercapacitors.

The used equipment

The laboratory complex of PAN-fibers formation from a spinning solution with CNT addition and carbon fiber production consists of the following:

  • fiber formation unit and spinning solution preparation unit with a nanomaterial addition possibility;
  • drying furnace with a fiber controlled stretching possibility;
  • oxidation furnace with a fiber controlled stretching or shrinkage possibility;
  • carbonization furnace with a temperature up to 1000 °C;
  • high-temperature carbonization furnace with a temperature up to 1450 °C;
  • unit for graphitization in inert gas plasma;
  • laboratory testing machine to study mechanical properties of Tinius Olsen h10k-t fiber.
